April 27th
On this day in 1999…
Kyle Velasquez and Matt Kechter’s funerals were held.

Kyle Albert Velasquez was remembered as a gentle giant, a sweet boy who accompanied his mother while she ran her errands and helped around the house with chores. His last words to his mom was “Goodbye. I love you, mom.”

Matthew Joseph Kechter was remembered as a straight A student, putting academics first but never bragging about it. His family said he was a great role model to his younger brother.
